IMG_6097Welcome to another edition of The Look for Less!  Since I have so many polishes in my collection, there are times that I’ll come home with a polish and look at others in my collection and realize that I already have something similar.  That happened to me this past fall when I bought Butter London “Queen Vic.” I was absolutely obsessed with the berry purple shade, until I realized that I already had something similar.

IMG_6098I picked up Zoya “Sofia” over a year ago and fell in love.  I had to know if the two shades were really dupes of each other so I compared them side by side.

Keep reading to see if they really are dupes!

IMG_6699Hey guys! I am so backed up on posts that it is ridiculous! I know that I said that I was going to try to post every day and have every intention of doing so yesterday, but I started editing all of my pictures and that took me about 6 hours.  Adding water marks, color correcting some pictures (green polish makes my hands look red), and photographing some of the “newer” products to my collection took way longer than I thought it would.

So I have a ton of  new products to show you guys, as well as new polishes.  I have done a little bit of shopping so be prepared for new makeup and nail polish posts.  And the first one coming your way is from one of the “newer” OPI polishes.  I’ve included this in the last few Monday Manicure Spam posts, and kept promising that the review would come.  Well, here it is!

IMG_6700OPI “Which is Witch?” came out with the OPI Oz collection a few months ago.  When this collection first came out, I was extremely interested until reviews started popping out. The glitter that I wanted the most, the chunky gold glitter, turned out to be taco style and disappointing to many (I never tried it so I don’t know for sure).  And some of the sheer shades were ones that I owned already.

So I completely passed on it until I was at my local grocery store (yes, my grocery store sells OPI) and had a little bit of a weak moment.  Do you guys ever have a bad day and end up buying yourself things? That happens to me all the time.  I tend to do most of my impulse shopping when I have bickered with my boyfriend or had a bad day at school.

IMG_6701(sorry its a little blurry!)

I picked this up as an impulse because I am almost out of OPI “Servin Up Sparkle” which is one of my all time favorite glitters.  I thought this might be able to suffice for a holographic glitter where I want to save my more precious ones.  I passed on this so many times because I really don’t like bar glitter.  I actually loath bar glitter! But the thing with this polish is that the bars are so skinny and short that when you’re staring at your nails its so dainty and delicate, it looks almost ethereal.

IMG_6823The formula on this polish was great.  All of the pictures above are just 1 coat and the glitter is super dense.  The pink polish that is above is Butter London “Teddy Girl” and the green is Essie “Share Your $$ Maker” (review to come soon on that one!).  The dry time is great and the consistency isn’t too thick. The only complaint that I have is that the chunky glitter pieces seems to clump together on the nail.  You can see that in the picture above, where all the chunks are either on the left or right side of the nail for the index, middle, and ring fingers.  Other than that, this is a great glitter and may be great for those of you who are like me and hate bar glitter, but want something different in their collection.

What do you guys think? Do any of you have this? What are your favorite holographic glitters?

IMG_6776Have any of you ever had a product in your head that you just can’t get out? Or a product that you want to try really badly, but then can’t find anywhere? And then that long and extended search makes you want that product even more? That’s what happened to me with this new Limited Edition Maybelline Color Tattoo.  I blame my obsession with Nouveau Cheap.

IMG_6778This spring/summer, Maybelline released new Limited Edition shades of their popular Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows.  And most of them in the line are duochrome.  Confession time: I don’t own a single Color Tattoo until this one.  I just wasn’t that interested.  But when I saw reviews on blogs, I knew I had to have this unique shade! And, based on other blogs I’ve read, this is the most duochromatic of all the new color tattoos.

IMG_6777Warning! This post is really picture heavy! So keep reading for swatches and my full review!

Welcome to another edition of  Monday Manicure Spam!

One problem with blogging about nail polish is that I don’t like to show the same manicure twice, or review a polish multiple times.   But I am also a girl who likes to wear nail polish.  I don’t buy nail polish just to wear it once, write about it and then move on to the next one.  I buy polish to wear it!  Since I try to blog almost every day (lately I’ve been awful about that!), being a polish-repeater is a necessity and this is an easy way not to bore you guys with the same ol’ stuff every day!

Here are pictures of some manicures that I’ve been a tad obsessed with this Spring! The weather is finally starting to get nice and sunny! So I’ve really been enjoying busing out all of my pastels and bright colors.

If you want to read about the individual polishes used in each manicure, just click on the name below the picture and it will take you to my original post.  And yes, I do change my nail polish almost every day! Hope you enjoy this manicure spam!

IMG_6712Same base (can you tell that I was loving it?) as the 2 above pictures, Zoya “Ziv” and OPI “Golden Eye” with Zoya “Blu” on top with a matte top coat.

IMG_6737OPI “Your Royal Shine-ness” and OPI “Which is Witch?” (review to come) as a base, and then OPI “You’re Such a Budapest” as the top with a matte top coat (review to come).

Hope y’all enjoyed this Manicure Spam! Which one was your favorite?

IMG_6524I’m finally done with finals! I took my last final last night and can officially say that I’m now in my 3rd and final year of law school.  I could spend an entire post talking about how my second year of law school was one of the hardest and most challenging years of my life academically.  But I won’t bore you with any of those little details.  I will say that I’m officially done and I’m taking a much needed break from school!

I’m going to enjoy my summer break for a change.  Last summer I took a full load of classes and was planning on doing the same this summer, but I need the 4 months to rehab my brain instead.   And since I’m taking some much needed time off from school, I can finally dedicate more time to my blog.  And figured I would start off with a polish that I’ve been loving this spring.

IMG_6525Zoya “Blu” is a really really light blue creme.  It is one of the lightest blues that I have in my collection.  It looks so stark and crisp against my skin and I am absolutely in love.  I dare to use the word “chalky” to describe this color, because I still don’t think I understand the meaning of that word in the beauty and nail communities.  I think this looks exactly like light blue sidewalk chalk and I love the fact that it looks “chalky.” But it seems like when other people use that word, it has a negative connotation.

IMG_6523The formula on this polish is incredible for a light pastel.  It seems like every light pastel creme that I have in my collection is streaky and requires 3 coats.  This goes on so smooth with no streaks at all, and is completely opaque in 2 coats.  The only complaint I have with this formula is that it seems to get thicker the longer it is used.  When I start with the first coat on the first finger, its impeccable.  But by the last finger on the second coat it is super thick and goopy.  I can learn to deal with that because this color is absolutely worth it!

And I’ve previously compared this polish to another one of my favorite light blues in my collection, Essie “Borrowed and Blue”.  You guys can check out that comparison post if you want to see if they’re dupes!

What do you guys think? Do any of you have this polish? What are your favorite light blues?

Happy Tuesday everyone!
