IMG_6434It feels so good to blog again!  It has been almost a week since I’ve been able to get to a computer for anything else besides studying, let alone getting on here to blog and respond to comments.  Finals is always really stressful but this semester it seems more soul-crushing than normal.  Last semester I had 4 finals within a week and this semester I have 3 within 2 weeks, but for some reason this semester is so much more stressful than the last.

I took my second final this morning and just have one more to go.  But unfortunately its the subject that I’m the most worried about.  So please stick with me for the next few days until I finally finish my second year of law school.  But today I finally caught up on blog comments, my YouTube ones are another story, and now I can bring to you guys a new polish to my collection! And this polish is perfect for summer!

IMG_6436Koh “Jewel” is another polish that was sent to me from Sabrina, The Polish Alcoholic, in our swap back in February.  I wish I had taken pictures of the packaging of this polish because this polish comes in its own “case.” The polish comes in a snap close enclosure that reminds me of an old lipstick case that my mom had.  It almost reminds me a little coffin.  The color is absolutely perfect for summer.  It is a bright light green with silver shimmer.  It is so bright on your hands, but still light at the same time, making it the perfect transition color between spring and summer.

IMG_6435The formula on this polish is hit and miss.  This is just 1 coat! Yep, 1 coat.  Looking at the pictures now, I can see that I should have used 2 because there is some streaks that are still visible.  Although you can see streaks, it isn’t streaky at all.  But this polish sure is thick.  And it doesn’t really even out easily on the nail.  But that could also be changed with applying another coat.  The dry time is pretty good considering that it is a thicker consistency polish.  Overall, I love this color and I think it will be amazing after a little bit of thinner!

What do you guys think? What are your favorite bright greens? What are your favorite Koh polishes?

Welcome to another edition of  Monday Manicure Spam!

One problem with blogging about nail polish is that I don’t like to show the same manicure twice, or review a polish multiple times.   But I am also a girl who likes to wear nail polish.  I don’t buy nail polish just to wear it once, write about it and then move on to the next one.  I buy polish to wear it!  Since I try to blog almost every day (lately I’ve been awful about that!), being a polish-repeater is a necessity and this is an easy way not to bore you guys with the same ol’ stuff every day!

Here are pictures of some manicures that I’ve been a tad obsessed with this Spring! The weather is finally starting to get nice and sunny! So I’ve really been enjoying busing out all of my pastels and bright colors.

If you want to read about the individual polishes used in each manicure, just click on the name below the picture and it will take you to my original post.  And yes, I do change my nail polish almost every day! Hope you enjoy this manicure spam!

Hope y’all enjoyed this Manicure Spam! Which one was your favorite?

IMG_6491Today I have for you guys another awesome find from my secret Walgreens.  It is like my secret weapon and its  a treasure trove for any limited edition polish or makeup item that you can think of.  It’s within walking distance from my moms house and every single time I go there I score major hard to find products.  I found Sally Hansen “Hidden Treasure” there when it first came out, and over a year and a half later.  Its the first place I go for every limited edition Wet ‘n Wild product.

This polish came out last summer and I had it in my hand, coincidentally at my secret Walgreens.  I ended up putting it back because I thought, “I have too many baby blues.” Then, this polish blew up in blogger world as one of the “must have” polishes of the summer.  After that, I had to find it.  I never found it again, until I went back to my secret Walgreens in January and it was sitting there on the shelf.  I didn’t hesitate this time around!

IMG_6493Sinful Colors “Cinderella” is a baby blue with pink microshimmer, and in the right light a little bit of gold microshimmer.  This polish is really unique to anything else I have in my collection.  I have a ton of baby blues, and a few baby blues with silver shimmer, but this is the first that I have that has pink shimmer.  I am absolutely mesmerized by this polish! But I will say, I’m mesmerized when I look at it up close because of the cool colors.  But when I’m looking at my hands normally, it just looks like a baby blue.

IMG_6492The formula on this was pretty crappy, not going to lie.  I heard that the formula was bad, so I kind of expected that.  It is really sheer, even though it doesn’t look like it would when looking at the bottle.  Its 3 coats shown in all the pictures, but there is still a slight bit of visible nail line.  Also, it was oddly a thick consistency.  Normally I don’t associate a thick consistency with sheer polish.  But the dry time wasn’t that bad so I could deal with it.

Overall, I really like this polish because the color is unique from anything else in my collection.  But it isn’t so unique that you need to hunt this down.  There are much better formula baby blues out there.

What do you guys think? What is your favorite Sinful Colors polish? What is your favorite baby blue?

IMG_6391Sorry for my lack of posts recently.  My last week of classes was last week and I’m officially in the middle of reading week for finals.  For all of you thinking about going to law school one day, reading week is the week between your last class and your first final.

It is both a blessing and a curse because while you have a week off to sleep in and casually work at your own pace, you also only have a week to learn everything.  And for those of us who may have a tendency to procrastinate (cough cough me cough cough), you have a week to stress out about all the work you should be doing and aren’t doing.  So please forgive my lack of posts because I’m much farther behind this year than I have been in previous semesters.

IMG_6394Essence “Time for Romance” is a dark rose dense glitter with chunky pink glitter pieces.  The chunky pink glitter also a little bit holographic.  This polish kind of reminds of me OPI “Teenage Dream” which I blogged about a few days ago.  I must be craving these pink opaque glitters! This was another one my friend Anca from the Netherlands sent me and she said that it was one of the most popular Essence polishes.  I can totally understand why.

IMG_6393The formula on this polish was a alright.  While it only took 2 coats to be completely opaque it was a really thick formula.  I love when polishes like this are super opaque but this one was the total opposite when it came to dry time.  Most opaque glitters dry really quickly but this one took forever to dry.  But that’s alright because it is so pretty and girly! This might be a great work polish.

What do you guys think? What is your favorite Essence polish? What is your favorite glitter?

IMG_6702I, like everyone else, go a little crazy when it comes to the limited edition Wet ‘n Wild palettes.  Every Winter I have to check out the new palettes that they put out.  This year, Wet ‘n Wild also released a few limited edition Spring palettes.  And it seems like Wet ‘n Wild listened to all of our comments on their previous palettes because they have finally released a neutral 8 pan palette.

I have Comfort Zone, which is neutrals and greens, but there was always something missing with that palette.  And this one answered my prayers because there is mixture of matte and shimmer shades!

IMG_6632Welcome to another edition of Throwback Thursday! I haven’t done one of these posts in a while so for all of you who are new to my blog (first off, welcome!) this post is stolen from the hastag on Instagram.  On Thursdays, I try to showcase a polish on my blog that hasn’t gotten a lot of love from me in recent months.  I have a substantial nail polish collection at this point and I normally end up wearing all my new polishes.

So one day a week I shop my stash and pick a polish that I haven’t worn in a while.  This polish was one of my favorites when it came out over 2 years ago and I loved it so much that I used over half the bottle. It was put on my shelf, mostly in an effort to conserve what I had left.  But wearing it again reminded me of how much I love this shade!

IMG_6634OPI “Teenage Dream” is a dense light pink glitter with chunkier pieces of holographic glitter.  It is seriously stunning! I hate to show you guys a limited edition, hard to find polish, but there are so many polishes that are similar that are available now that I think you can find something comparable.  The look it gives is so light and dainty, but at the same time fun!

IMG_6633Because this bottle is almost 2 and a half years old, the formula is really bad right now.  I need to buy a thinner to bring this polish back to life.  So I’m not going to comment on the formula.  But I will say that this polish was a “gateway” polish for me.  Someone commented on my Instagram photo of this polish and that was the term she used.  But it’s so true.

When I bought this polish, I didn’t have a large collection.  I only bought polished that I was “in love” with.  At the time, I wasn’t into pink and glitter and totally passed on this polish and bought 2 others from the Katy Perry collection (both of which I don’t own anymore).  Then this polish blew up on blogging world and I had to have it, just because everyone else loved it.  Once I got my hands on it, I understood why everyone else was in love.  I’m still in love with this polish and will definitely be buying one of the “dupes” that are out at the drugstore now.

What do you guys think? Do you have a “gateway” polish? Do any of you have Teenage Dream?

Hey Everyone! I hope that you’re having a great Thursday.  Today is my last day of school before exams start.  So I have some time to kill between classes, and I figured I would post a Fashion Haul on my blog.  I posted this a few days ago on my YouTube channel and figured I could share it here too.  I hope you enjoy and have a great day!
