Nail of the Day! Sinful Colors “Last Chance” and Sally Hansen “Hidden Treasure”

Sinful Colors “Last Chance” and Sally Hansen “Hidden Treasure”

Even though the weather is finally starting to reflect the season, I’ve been way in the mood for dark colors.  And I’ve been royally bored with regular manicures so I’ve been accenting certain nails lately.  This latest manicure came out of an AMAZING and random trip to walgreens! I walked into walgreens yesterday to pick up mascara since I was running on flakes and of course I wander into the nail polish section.  On the Sally Hansen display for all the new colors this summer there was one lone bottle at the back of last years hardest to find gem “Hidden Treasure”! I about pooped my pants because I remember everyone hunting down this color and it was sold out all across the country.  I’m pretty sure this limited edition beauty is going on ebay now for well over what its sold for, but there it was, all alone, on the shelf a year after no one could find it.  The store must of had it in the back stock room by accident and put it out.  So I scooped it up and bought a dark creme green from the sinful colors display right next to it.

Formula and Application:  Last Chance went on so smooth and dark that I’m a tad worried about staining when I go to take this off.  It applied almost like a jelly, and the color seems to rival that one NARS color that everyone is in love with.  It was opaque in 2 coats and the dry time seemed average.  The best part of this brand is the price … at $1.99 you can’t go wrong with this wide range of colors, even if it doesn’t have the best staying power.  Hidden Treasure only needed a thin thin coat to get that coverage and it dried pretty fast because its almost like a glitter.
Sinful colors was the first brand I really got into followed closely by Sally Hansen so this combo just screams to me.  I love darks, I love greens, and I love hidden treasure.  I managed to get my hands on a bottle last year and I’ve been hoarding it and using it sparingly because it is in my top 10 polishes of all time.  So the fact that I have a backup now, I’m thrilled, and I’m already planning a whole lot more combinations in my head.  This manicure almost looks fish scale like, or like some sort of animal print.  I’m in love.
