OPI “Honk If You Love OPI” (original name)

I’m back to my fall colors! I have to admit, I wasn’t into this color when it first came out.  I saw swatches on nail blogs and even checked out the OPI Touring America Collection in person when it first came out and passed on all the shades.  I just wasn’t impressed with any of the colors because they were all repeat colors.  None of the colors were original and I felt like I owned all of them already.  Well, I ate my words when I saw this color on a woman in person.  I am one of those people that will stop other women and ask what they have on their nails and when I saw this I knew I had to have it.

OPI “Honk If You Love OPI” is a deep, saturated purple creme that looks a lot lighter in the bottle than it does on your nails.  This is very close to OPI “Lincoln Park After Dark” on your nails, but in the bottle this color is definitely a few shades lighter.  Overall, I really do like this color, but I’m not in love.  I thought it would show up closer to the color in the bottle but it looks too dark on my nails.  Shocker, I am upset that a color is too dark? Yes, in this case I want the color to look more like a plum than a black with a plum hue.  But hey, it’s still pretty and I’m splitting hairs for the sake of this review.  I do like this color and it will definitely get some good use this season.
