I know I’ve posted this red polish before, and I’ve worn it even more than I’ve shown it. I really try not to showcase polishes more than once and if I do I won’t post them on my blog close chronologically. I’ve show my favorite pink, Butter London “Teddy Girl” 3 or 4 times on this blog but I have them spaced out a few months apart in each post. But when I love a color, I love it and tend to wear it a lot in real life. I have worn the crap out of Sephora by OPI “Mr. Right Now”. I have worn it 5 or 6 times in the last few weeks and I keep wanting to put it on again. It is seriously my perfect red! Although the pictures make it look a little lighter, it is darker in person. The perfect vampy red creme that still looks red in the dark, which was my biggest piece of criteria. I wanted a red that looked red in every light that didn’t have any shimmer. Mr. Right Now is actually a jelly finish which is even better than a creme so needless to say, I’m in love. Because I didn’t want to showcase just this red again on its own, I paired it with a new color that I haven’t shown on this blog, a new color from the OPI Muppets Collection!
OPI “Getting Ms Piggy With It” is a clear based glitter with a ton of red microglitter, chunky red glitter and chunky silver glitter. This is probably my favorite glitter from the entire Muppets collection. Although a red glitter for the holidays isn’t exactly unique, I think the chunky silver glitter does make it something different that I haven’t seen before. I used to have to layer glitters in order to get the look that this gives in 2 coats. I think 3 coats would make it completely opaque but when I put it over a red polish I couldn’t even tell where the bald spots were. Thats the whole point of layering glitter over polish so I can’t even complain about the fact that I can see red through red glitter. Even typing that made me think I sounded bratty and picky. I love this combination and I can see myself wearing it a lot more in the month of December. Right now, I’m still trying to refrain from wearing too many holiday colors because it is just too early in my opinion, but this combination made me so happy that I couldn’t resist.
