China Glaze “Smoke and Ashes”

#1 to cross off my list of Project Use my Un-UsedChina Glaze “Smoke and Ashes”.  I am absolutely obsessed with the Hunger Games, as a lot of you can guess by now.  When I got my shipment of China Glaze Colors from the Capitol on my door, I immediately tore into the box.  I couldn’t decide on which color to wear first so I figured I would go with the color representing District 12, the heroine’s district! Smoke and Ashes is a black base with a ton of teal shimmer in it.  This color was a breeze to work with and was almost opaque in 1 coat, but I did 2 just to make sure everything was even. Like a lot of other polishes it dried fast and it wasn’t too thick or too thin.  This is going to be a short post because honestly I don’t have anything to complain about.  Well, maybe it would have been nice if it dried a little bit shinnier, but its still really nice.  It looks like black diamonds on your nails, and its so appropriate for coal because coal creates carbonite crystals and this polish shimmers just the same.

  1. I really like this polish but doesn’t it annoy you how it looks so BORING in photos?! I tried so hard to get a good pic and it just wasn’t happening. Great polish tho. I love China Glaze’s formula (almost all of the time).
