I’m still slowly but surely getting through all of my polishes in my Use my Un-Used project. But I am craving all my pastels since Easter is this weekend. I keep seeing Easter Eggs and Easter candy and all I want to do is paint my nails every pale shade in my collection. Last Spring I hunted down China Glaze “For Audrey” to no avail. Every store I went to didn’t have it and I about died for a few months trying to get my hands on it. I finally found it last April and wore the heck out of it and always paired it with one of my favorite glitters. But this time, I wanted to tackle a glitter I bought a year and a half ago and never ever opened!
OPI “Simmer and Shimmer” came out in the Burlesque collection. Yes, the collection from November of 2010! I can’t believe I had a polish in my collection that went untouched for a year and a half. I especially can’t believe it after seeing how well it applied and how cool it looks. In the bottle, it looks like a rainbow explosion that is really heavy on the blue glitter. What I love, is that it seems like the blue, pink and purple come out the most with some accents of silver. It really glittered and what is more surprising is that this is just 1 coat of the glitter over 2 coats of for audrey. It was such a simple manicure but I had to force myself to take it off because I loved it so much.
