After making that franken last week I have been craving white nail polish with glitter. Don’t ask me why, because white is a signature summer color for me. With the weather back down to the 40’s and 50’s, I don’t know why I’m so drawn to such a summer color. Right now I only have one bottle of white polish, because how many bottles of white nail polish does a girl need? So this is Wet ‘n Wild, no name, just white. 2 coats and it was opaque so it was definitely nice for the 99 cent price tag! Then I looked for a fun festive glitter and I had to pick Deborah Lippmann “Glitter in the Air”.
I am positively obsessed with this glitter, and you can tell from all the posts I’ve done featuring this glitter. I love wearing it over pink, light blue, purple, any color at all. This is 2 coats over white, so be aware that this is a pretty sheer polish. It was definitely one of my most worn polishes in 2011 and one of the first Deborah Lippmanns I ever purchased. Its a light blue and pink chunky glitter with smaller pieces of blue glitter, set in an extremely light blue jelly base. So you can really layer it over any color and it won’t drastically change the tone. I wish the glitter was a little bit more densely packed, but its gorgeous. But there’s a dupe out there so don’t spend the money unless you really need to have the original. Revlon “Whimsical” is a dupe that is almost a fifth of the price. If you can find that at your local Walgreens, you have to buy it because its definitely worth every single penny!
I have the dupe! I really like that on the white!
i wish i had waited for the dupe to save $14 but its still really cool! i love it over blue and pink and over yellow it looks like an easter egg
