Orly “Gilded Coral”

Its been a look time since I’ve posted! Its been about 5 days and I’m really sorry.  I am totally backed up on manicures at this point, so sorry to all of you who follow me on WordPress because your email inbox’s are about to get spammed.  I’m still having major problems with my middle finger on my swatching hand.  It seriously chips every single day and is almost down to the point where I can’t find it anymore.  So I’m a little embarrassed to show swatches but oh well, I’ll get over being so vain.  I’m still getting my feet wet at my externship over the summer so I don’t know how far I can push the envelope when it comes to my nail polish.  So I’ve been digging out all of the colors I feel are work appropriate and this one called by name.

This polish doesn’t get enough attention by me or other bloggers.  This is from Orly’s spring collection last year, Precious Gems or something like that.  Everyone raved about Pure Porcelain and Fancy Fuchsia but totally glanced over this one.  This was the only one I picked up and I’m so glad I did.  Orly “Gilded Coral” is a very strong duochrome with subtle colors.  Believe it or not, it is a duochrome! Its a light peachy-nude that has a strong gold duochrome.  The top picture shows it better but I seriously love this color for how it makes my hands look.  It looks demur, soft and gentle but is a nail polish lovers dream.  Personally, I think this is how a nail polish fanatic would do a work appropriate polish.

It goes very well with my skin tone because I have a slight pinky tone to my skin.  It seems to blend in and not be that prominent but then the light hits it just right and you have a strong gold polish in your face.  The thing I like most? Its opaque in 2 coats and dries really face.  It just looks so clean and polished while still having a fun gold kick.

What do you guys think? Do any of you own any Orly polishes from last springs collection?
