So I have to say that I’ve been wearing this manicure for 3 days now and don’t have the energy or desire to take it off. I had orientation for Law Review this morning for 6 and a half hours. Is that really necessary, a 6 and a half hour orientation on a Saturday to hear about how I’m going to be doing research checks on professional articles and writing an article of my own. I start school on Monday as well, so tomorrow I’m excited to dig into the reading and homework I’ve been putting off since I got my assignments a few weeks ago. Anyways, enough venting about law school and onto the polish! Since school is starting, fall has been on my mind and I think on everyone’s mind. That means that I’m starting to transition from my bright blues and white polishes to jewel tones and darker shades. Up first, a polish I had been drooling over since I saw Yukie’s (Warmvanillasugar0823) picture on instagram.
Deborah Lippmann “Let’s Go Crazy” is very reminiscent of every other Deborah Lippmann glitter. Its a dark purple jelly polish with chunky pieces of silver, red, blue, green, and orange glitter. It is pretty much another version of all of her Happy Birthday-esque glitters like Candy Shop and Forget You. But I absolutely love this one! I knew I was going to love it but for some reason it seems more subdued and interesting than the other party-a-bottle glitters. The dark purple jelly formula makes the silver a purple color and makes it almost look rich. Formula wise, this baby is thick and goopy like other chunky glitters. But it is super opaque. This is 2 coats but I easily could have done just 1 thicker coat and walked out the door. But on one coat you don’t get the depth with the glitters, so I wanted to do two. Dry time is really good too, by the time I was done with the last nail the first was 100% dry.
And fun little fact. Did you know that all of Deborah Lippmann’s polishes are named after a song? This one was named after a Prince song, or is it the artist formally known as Prince, or is it that weird symbol thingy? I don’t know what he’s calling himself, I can’t keep up with his names or Puff Daddy (or P. Diddy or Diddy or whatever the hell his name is too). But can you think of a better person to go with this polish! Of course it had to be fun and purple. I’m in love and this will definitely be a fall staple.
What do you guys think? Have you seen this polish yet?
I got this off amazon but it was made special for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. But you can find it at Nordstrom or Amazon

I think Prince is back to calling himself Prince these days.
I hadn’t seen this, and it’s really beautiful. But I just can’t bring myself to pay that much for nail polish.
