OPI “Meep, Meep, Meep”

On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink!

I blogged about this earlier in November, but a few weeks ago I went into Ulta to grab a few things.  My Ulta trips never turn out well for my bank account and on this trip there was a huge display of OPI nail polishes on sale 2 for $12.  All of the polishes were from past OPI collections, like The Muppets, Mini Mouse, and Nice (or Lovely) Stems.  My Ulta was fully stocked with every single polish from all those collections, so I grabbed two polishes from The Muppets collection that I missed out on, Designer De Better and this one.  I was upset that I missed out on some of The Muppets polishes because the ones that I didn’t think were that cool at the time now seem so unique and total gems to me.  What I thought were plain shimmers, I realize now are awesome jelly style polishes with crushed flakes.

OPI “Meep, Meep, Meep” is a deeper magenta jelly that is packed full of raspberry red crushed flakes.  The crushed flakes give kind of a sponged effect, if that makes any sense.  This polish seriously glows! I couldn’t get over just how bright this polish is and how it has a lit from within type of quality.  The polish is much lighter on my fingers than it is in the bottle, so I’m a little outside my comfort zone with this one.  I’m not a fan of bright pink polishes, and I thought it would be a deeper, more jewel toned magenta.  I’m glad to have such unique and pretty polish in my collection, but I think it might be a better summer color for me.  The formula was really nice as well, but was a little bit on the thicker side.  It wasn’t thick, but just barely crossed the line into being a tad thick.  It was completely opaque in 2 coats and dried really quickly.

I’m really impressed by the uniqueness of this polish and the formula and consistency.  I just need to get out of my comfort zone and embrace the bright pinks!
