Color Club “First Look”

IMG_5657I just got back from a little mini vacation with my mom and boyfriend.  We were visiting some friends down south and also scouting out some different cities because my mom is looking to move there.  We spent the last 4 days in 7 different states, enjoying the sunshine and 70 degree weather.  During the 8 hour drive home, I slowly noticed the temperature gauge on my car go lower and lower.  I started the day in 70 degrees and ended the day in 10 degrees and a blizzard.  So I figured I would show a super dark polish to match how I’m feeling about this snow storm.

IMG_5658Color Club “First Look” is a super dark teal, almost back base with a heavy teal shimmer.  I really really like the color.  It is so similar to a traditional navy shimmer that I don’t know if this is a color that everyone NEEDS to have in their collection.  But I think the fact that it has a slight green tone to it makes it a little more unique than your every day navy.

What makes this polish spectacular is the formula.  This is a 1 coat polish.  These pictures were taken with just one regular coat.  Sometimes I’ll call a polish a 1 coater when it requires a little bit of a thicker coat because sometimes I’m lazy and would rather do 1 thicker coat than 2 thin ones.  This is for real a 1 coat polish.  And the dry time was incredibly fast.  It was what Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes should be all the time.  I’m in love with this polish because its so quick and easy and totally worth it.

What do you guys think? What are your favorite navy polishes?

in the winter.

  1. Oooh, that’s so pretty! l ♥ navy polish so much! Some of my faves are: Zoya Ibiza, Natty, Noel, Song and Cynthia (although I think it’s more of a dark teal); butter LONDON: Big Smoke; China Glaze: Midnight Mission, Little Drummer Boy, First Mate and Bermuda Breakaway (those last 2 might be considered more ‘spring’, but I wear ’em all year); OPI: Russian Navy and Roadhouse Blues; Orly: Royal Navy. 😀
