Sorry for the indoor lighting guys, but I experimented with different lighting around my apartment to find the lighting that is the most color accurate. While my skin tone might seem off, the polish is spot on! Now that school has started again, there are a few days of the week that I leave the house at 6 am when it is still dark out and don’t get home until almost 8 at night. Needless to say, I don’t see sunlight! So taking pictures in natural light is out of the question, at a couple times a week. I’m trying out some alternative lighting sources and this is the closest I can get, and as you can see my finger tips are kind of a funky shade. Oh well, it doesn’t take away from this oldie by goodie! Welcome to another edition of Throwback Thursday! I have polish that was once a winter staple for me.
Sally Hansen “Wet Cement” is a medium toned light grey creme. This color has some significance for me because this is another one of those polishes that me and my best friend Katie share. We both quit biting at the same time, without knowing we were both quitting. We ended up buying the same colors too without knowing it. This was one of both of our first polishes and would always end up wearing it on the same days without knowing it. It holds a special place in my heart because it always makes me think of her!
The formula is nice too! Its opaque in 2 coats and evens out nicely on the nail. It is pretty thick but its workable. But I think that’s kind of normal with the Xtreme Wear line. Oh well, I still do love this polish and it is one of my favorite greys of all time!
What do you guys think? What are your favorite Xtreme Wears? What are your favorite grey polishes?
I do like this one. My favorite gray polish is Revlon’s Timeless. A really nice cool gray. I always liked painting my toenails, but up until a few months ago, I never painted my fingernails. I got a manicure every so often but never painted my fingernails myself. When I started doing my nails regularly, i bought a lot of different colors to try….nudes, brights, shimmers, metallics, cremes….whatever struck my fancy. Out of all of the polishes, Revlon’s Timeless is the one I keep going back to. I have a thing about gray. I wear it all the time, so it makes sense that I’d do my nails gray too. But Timeless is a really good one 🙂 I’m gonna have to check out this one too. Thanks for the review & swatch! 🙂
ohh i will have to check out revlon timeless! i love a good grey so i’ll definitely be looking for that one next time i’m at a drugstore!
Pretty colour! Makes me think of Chinchilly 🙂
i have always looked at chinchilly and have wanted it! i might have to cave and buy it if its close to this one! thanks for commenting and adding another polish to my list!
It’s a nice colour! But don’t think it would look good on my skin
