A few days ago, my friend and fellow blogger Melissa from Horrendous Color and Pink Lady Beauty tweeted me about all of the new Deborah Lippmann collections. Me and her share a love for DL polishes, as I know a lot of you do as well, and I was over the moon at the promotional pictures. Deborah Lippmann has released promotional pictures for 4 new collections! Yep, 4, set to be released throughout the spring and perhaps early summer. I was so excited that I had to share these pictures with you guys as well!
The Girls Collection!
Deborah Lippmann teamed up with Lena Dunham to create a 4 piece collection which has a polish for each of the 4 girls, on the show “Girls”. Thanks to Zenorah, who told me that I had to watch it when the first season came out last year, I’ve been obsessed with this quirky and dryly hilarious show! I might have to pick up this set!
I have to be a little bit of a fan girl right now! I read an article on Vogue.com (which you can also read here!) that said that each color was a collaboration between Deborah and Lena. Each shade is supposed to represent each girl’s personality and I totally understand where they were going. Hannah is an off-shade green, Marnie is an uptight baby pink, and Shoshanna is a free spirit lavender. Jessa doesn’t really fit to me, but oh well I love a dark red creme!
The Girls collection is available right now!
The Romantic Rapture Collection!
This collection is a classy and simple collection for all of you nail junkies who aren’t into the crazy glitter combinations. Moon Rendezvous is a grey blue with fine pearl shimmer, Careless Whisper is an opaque beige with gold shimmer and Groove Is In The Heart nice rose pink.
The Staccato Collection
Left to right: I’m Not Edible, Polka Dots and Moonbeams, Rockin Robin
Do you guys ever think that nail polish companies have to be working together to release similar collections at the same time?? This 3 piece collection looks pretty similar to the new Illamasqua collection that is set to come out. Regardless of other collections, these look kind of cool to me! They’re all pastel cremes with small black glitters. I really want to see Rockin Robin, because it looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream!
The Mermaids Collection
Deborah Lippmann is taking last summers success of Mermaid’s Dream to a whole new level! All 4 of these polishes have the same texture and concept as Mermaid’s Dream, so if you have that polish then you already know how amazing these will be. Mermaid’s Dream was one of my favorite polishes of 2012, so I’m excited to check these out (especially Mermaid’s Kiss!)
What do you guys think? Any that you have your eye’s on? What are your favorite Deborah Lippmann polishes?
