Barielle “Buddha-ful”

IMG_5953I have been on a major nude nail polish kick all month.  I think after all the glitter and dark polishes that I wore during the holidays, I needed a break.  I know I said this in another post but every winter I go through the same phase, where I crave the mannequin hands look.  I think I’ve worn every single nude nail polish that I have in my entire collection over the last few weeks.  I wanted to show you guys this one first because its a nude polish with a little bit of an edge.  This also happens to be one of my favorite nude polishes of all time! I think you can kind of tell by how much is left in the bottle.  I just wish that the formula matched the uniqueness of this polish.

IMG_5957Barielle “Buddha-ful” is a creamy sheer nude flakie! The flakes in this polish are mostly green and don’t have a strong color shift.  What I love about this color is that its almost the same color as my skin tone, but the flakes make it more interesting than your standard nude.  This is one of my go-to nude polishes because it doesn’t look like you’re wearing polish, so its perfect for an interview or work, but it has that fun side with the flakies.

The downside is the formula.  This polish is really sheer, this is 3 coats and you can still see the visible nail line.  The consistency is a little on the thick side and a little hard to work with.  And because it is such a creamy color you can’t really layer it over anything because it comes out streaky and patchy. Also, it dries a little rough.  Overall, the formula sucks but I love the color so much that I deal with it.

What do you guys think? Do you have any polishes that you love the color but are a pain to apply? What are your favorite nudes?
