Layla Ceramic Effect CE54

IMG_5717Sorry I’ve been absent for the last few days, sometimes real life gets in the way of blogging.  I have a massive 5o page article that is about to be due  and I’m experiencing major writers block.  I’ve been attempting to work on it all weekend and still have a ton of work to do.  Also, Super Bowl Sunday is the equivalent to a national holiday in the US, or at least in my family where sports are equal to religion.  Now if only my Brownies would get to the Super Bowl, then it really would be like a religious experience! Anyways, I have my last Layla Ceramic Effects polish for you guys today and this was the polish that got my attention when looking at the display.  I’ve always said that if I were to make my own polish, it would be similar to a Deborah Lippmann glitter,  a dark green jelly base and chunky green glitters.  Well, Layla beat me to it!

IMG_5718Layla CE54 is what I always pictured would be my perfect polish to be! Green is my favorite color and this mixes my two favorite shades of green, dark forest green and kelly green.  I absolutely love these dark jelly chunky glitters and this polish is no exception! If I could change one thing about this polish it would be that the glitters are almost too big (but that’s me getting picky).

The formula was just as great too.  It was perfectly opaque in 2 coats and went on really easily.  There was no fishing for pieces and no struggling to get the glitters to stay on my nails.  There were no bald patches and it was really easy to control.  The only downside to the formula is that the dry time is a little slower than other chunky glitters like that.  But other than that, absolutely no complaints!

What do you guys think? What are your favorite chunky glitters?
