Bourgeois So Laque “Bleu Violet”

IMG_5787I know this isn’t Throwback Thursday yet, (although it technically will be in about 1 hour) but I have an older polish in my collection for you guys today.  This isn’t super old, but this was given to me by Zenorah a year ago in our swap.  I can’t get Bourgeois polishes where I live and was lucky enough that she thought to include this polish.  As far as I know, and anyone from the UK or Canada please feel free to correct me, the So Laque line is the ultra glossy finish polishes from Bourgeois.  I think this was the second polish that I reached for out of all the amazing polishes she sent me and ended up being one of my favorite polishes last winter! So naturally, I had an itch to wear it again this winter to see if the love was still there.

IMG_5788Bourgeois So Laque “Bleu Violet” is exactly as the name suggests, a blue purple.  I real life, the polish is a little more purple, closer to what you see in the bottle in the picture.  The camera loves to turn this polish into a royal blue.  It is super super glossy and shiny and I love it!

The formula is sort of like a jelly formula.  It applies like a jelly, but it dries to look like a creme.  Reminds me of those sorbet finishes from OPI.  It takes 3 coats to reach full opacity but the dry time is on the faster side.  I absolutely love this I can’t wait to try this out with some jelly sandwiches now!

What do you guys think? Do any of you have any Bourgeois polishes?

  1. I’m from the UK, but it’s called Bourjois here! I’ve a few different colours, but found they went quite thick quite quickly. The Bourjois 1 second ones are better 🙂
