Zoya “Cynthia”

IMG_5980Sorry for the lack of posts for the last 2 days.  My mom got the flu about a month ago, right after we came from from Tennessee and North Carolina, and pretty much has been house bound.  While I love my mom to death, I didn’t want to catch her version of death that she was dealing with that the time.  So I kept my distance, giving her love over the phone and offering to come down just to hear her tell me no because I’ll catch this flu thats been going around.  So last weekend I went down, to pick up my mail and to see her and see how she was doing.  She said she was feeling much better, but when I got down there she was worse than ever.  Apparently this flu thats going around is a real bitch and you think you’re getting over it before the worst of it hits.  So I took care of her all day, just to start feeling sick a day later.  Now, I’m convinced I’m dying.  I haven’t blogged in the last few days because I just haven’t felt well enough to get on the computer.  Today has been the worst so far, but I can’t go 3 days without blogging! So I figured I would show you guys what I was wearing on my nails before the plague took over.

IMG_5981Zoya “Cynthia” is a super super dark teal creme.  This is one of those polishes that pretty much just looks black, but it really is a really dark blue.  I love this polish because its easy and simple, but still gives a nice glossy finish to the nails.  Whenever I wear this polish it always makes me think of Angelica from the Rugrats, who had the doll Cynthia! Brings back amazing memories from a time when there was such a thing as a real sick day, with no responsibility.

The formula on this is amazing.  Its almost opaque in just 1 coat, but I have 2 on in the pictures.  The consistency is right in the middle, not to thick and not to thin. The dry time is great and dries really glossy.  I really love this polish and is a staple in my collection, and would definitely recommend it to all of those who love dark vampy colors.

What do you guys think? Are all of you staying healthy during this zombie plague like flu? What are you go to vampy colors?

  1. So sorry to hear that your mom isn’t feeling well. We’ve had a ‘mini’ flu epidemic in The Netherlands. Me and my boyfriend got it too a while back and it really s*cks big time!
Hope your mom is getting better real soon. And fingers crossed that you stay healthy!

Oh and this polish is lovely. Makes me think of rubber… don’t ask me why 😀
