This year I made a resolution to drastically change my skin care routine. I’ve been battling little break outs my entire life. I never get huge breakouts, but a few times a month I will get 1 or 2 massive pimples and a few smaller ones. Since I have fair skin with a lot of pink undertones, whenever I get any type of break out it turns bright red and its really noticeable.
So I decided that I was going to majorly overhaul my skin care routine. I started with the Clarisonic Mia 2 and now I’m slowly transitioning to an all natural skin care regiment. I have heard amazing things about Origins so I picked up a few things, one of which is Origins VitaZing. I’ve always heard rave reviews about this product so it was the first thing on my list to try.

From Origins:
This multi-tasking moisturizer handles the vital jobs of hydrating, energizing and protecting to maintain skin’s momentum all day. Gives skin the refreshing zing of antioxidant-rich Mangosteen. And adds a healthy hit of radiance that mimics the glow you get from a week’s vacation. All in 10 seconds max. Slip it on first thing tomorrow – you’ll look like you eat right, sleep tight & don’t have a worry in sight.
I don’t know if you’re going to be able to tell from this picture, but the moisturizer comes out white but there are little specs of nude pigments in the product. This product does give your skin a little bit of color and coverage, and also has an SPF of 15.
What I like: I love how this feels on my skin. Its so light weight and really doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything. But I have dry patches on my skin at the moment (damn you northern winters!) and it does a great job at keeping those areas moisturized all day. I absolutely love how it works and how it feels, and the fact that it has an SPF. Also, it does have a little bit of coverage. It is less than a tinted moisturizer, but enough were you can wear this and a little bit of powder and look like you have an even complexion.
What I don’t like: It only comes in one color (that I’ve found) and its way to dark for me right now. I wore it a couple times for the purposes of this review and honestly loved it, but its so dark that I have to counteract it with a lighter moisturizer. This has kind of made me stop using the product at the moment. This product is really great but because the color doesn’t work for my skin tone, I will probably have to put this product away until the summer.
Overall, I absolutely love this moisturizer but its way too dark for me to wear. Its such a bummer because its my favorite moisturizer in my collection. So for all of you who have fair skin tones like me, buyer beware that it may be too dark for you.
Grade: B- (please come in other shades!)
Price: $35.00
I wish this came in a more colours too, i can only wear it in the summer months. If i wear it during winter it comes off very ashy on my skin tone 😦
