Picture Polish “Mallard”

I’m trying out a new format in presenting my nail polish pictures to you guys today! Let me know what you think of this layout, and if its easier to read than the old layout.  Like I’ve said in previous posts, I’m working on a blog overhaul … making it more professional, less distracting, and more streamlined.  The whole point of my blog is to showcase nail polishes and makeup.  So while the layout isn’t the most important part what I do, I don’t want what is around the pictures to take away from what I’m saying!

Today I have my first Picture Polish to show you guys! I have heard of Picture Polish for a long time and have had many PP shades on my wishlist (just check out my wishlist at the top of the blog!).  When I saw one of the most recent collaboration shades with Jen, The Polishaholic, I decided it was finally time to splurge on a few of these gems! First up, is the collaboration polish that inspired the overdraft on my bank account!

mallard 2Picture Polish “Mallard” is a deep dark forest green with green and a darkened gold shimmer running throughout.  And then, to top off the gorgeous base color, there are flakies sprinkled throughout! There isn’t an overwhelming amount of flakies in this polish, I really could only see about 4 or 5 prominent ones per nail.  But the flakies are there and give this polish a great depth that is absolutely stunning!

The formula is just as awesome as the color.  This is just 1 coat! Honestly, I would suggest 2 thin coats to get the full effect of this polish, but when I saw how pigmented it was I went with 1 thick coat.  I noticed 1 bald spot on a nail on my non-swatching hand but 1 thick coat covered almost all my nails completely.  The formula was pretty much perfection, not to thin, not to thick.  And the dry time was really fast!

Overall, I’m in love and afraid that I just discovered a new brand addiction!

What do you guys think? What are your favorite Picture Polish shades?

  1. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your site? My website is in the very same area of interest as yours and my users would genuinely benefit from some of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this alright with you. Appreciate it!
