Anny “Covergirl”

IMG_6396I swear it is a rule of the universe that whenever I try to explain something to someone, the opposite is what comes across.  Prime example … doctors.  Whenever I’m sick, I’ll hold out for as long as I can before I go to a doctor.  Then when I finally crack and make a doctors appointment, I always wake up on the day of the appointment looking and feeling much better.

Today was yet another time that the rules of the universe took over.  Yesterday I blogged about the winter blues, feeling like winter would never end, and then today is sunny and in the 80s.  I guess when I think about it, the rules of the universe seem to spin in a positive direction!

So I have a bright and cheery polish to show you today, since its so beautiful outside.  This is another polish I received in my swap with Sabrina, The Polish Alcoholic, and wow she has great taste!

IMG_6397Anny “Covergirl” is a bright red metallic shimmer shade.  This polish seriously glows off the nails! It is a fire engine, screaming red that is so classic and sexy.  Around the edges of the bottle there is a gold shimmer, but that doesn’t transfer to the nail. This shade reminds me a lot of one of my favorite reds of all time, Butter London “Knees Up.”

IMG_6395The formula on this polish was spot on as well.  It took 2 coats to reach full opacity and it dried to a nice shimmery finish.  Although this is with a top coat, the shimmer is pretty prominent.  The consistency was nice as well, not to thick and not to thin.  And the dry time was average.  Overall, no complaints! And be on the lookout for a comparison post between this one and the Butter London!

What do you think? What are your favorite Anny polishes? What are your favorite reds?
