About 2 months ago I was talking to my friend Lauren on Twitter and we were talking perfume. I mentioned I had a perfume in my collection that I really didn’t like and offered to send it to her. She ended up sending me the most embarrassingly generous box in return. She thoughtfully sent me 2 Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadows, which is a product that I’ve always wanted to try!
Unfortunately, both of these shades aren’t available anymore 😦 I contemplated not even reviewing them, but I figured that although you can’t get these particular colors, it might still be beneficial to hear my thoughts on the staying power and consistency. Plus, there’s always ebay!
If you want to read my full review and if these really are “creaseless”, then keep reading!
Silver Spoon is just as the name suggests, a silver metallic. Pre-nup is a rosey copper metallic, almost a coral shade. I was really drawn to Pre-nup because I thought it would really make my green eyes pop.
From Benefit:
Blendable, beautiful…this do-it-all shadow lines, shades, and contours your eyes with a lovely crease-proof, smudge-proof formula. Mix & match…layer on for the desired depth…go as sheer or as dramatic as you like with buildable color. These gorgeous creams come in 12 blendable shades that can be worn alone or mixed for endless custom looks. You’ll love the glass jar…remember to close it tight to keep your cream shadow creamy & dreamy!
Benefit also claims that you can use these as a liner but unfortunately I haven’t tried using them in that way. So this review is all about using the shadows as shadows.
Silver Spoon and Pre-Nup. 1 swipe, without primer. Ignore the cat scratches!
What I like: These are extremely creamy, buttery and pigmented. A little really does go a long way with these! I apply and blend these with my fingers and they go on so easily that they basically apply themselves. These also make great bases for other shadows, which is how I prefer to wear them. I’ve been using Pre-nup a lot all over the lid and up into the crease and then putting a champagne color on top, over the lid. They dry pretty quickly as well
What I don’t like: These aren’t exactly creaseless. Without a primer, they only last on me for just over 6 hours before creasing. With a primer, they don’t crease at all, but it sucks that I have to use a base for a base.
Overall, I really love these but hate that I need to use a primer to make them last on my lids. They feel so rich and creamy and they don’t fade at all on my lids. So as long as my eyes are open, my makeup looks like I just applied it. Benefit just came out with a few new shades and new packaging, I might to have check them out!

Price: $19.00
Love your blog! Check out mine and maybe something will spark your interest and you’ll follow me! Hope to hear from you soon! 🙂
awww thanks girl! i loved your earrings post! i bet you look awesome with big hoops
Haha well thank you!
I want to love these, but they crease, even when I use a primer.
I want to love these, but they crease on me instantly. Even with a primer.
ugh that sucks! have you tried the maybelline ones? what are your thoughts on those?
These are my favorite cream eye shadows ever! That’s weird they creased on you, they’ve never creased on me without a base. But, everyone’s lids on different! There’s a new gorgeous copper shade out that is seriously stunning, and RSVP is always a great choice too! Hope you find some more you like! :]
Whoops, that was supposed to say, “are different” :]
i really want skinny jeans now! and yeah everyone is different. someone commented and said that they crease within an hour on her even with a primer. oh well, i still love them
Skinny Jeans is a gorgeous color! Birthday Suit is also the perfect base color! So gorgeous to just swipe on and go :] How weird! I’m so surprised they creased within an hour on her. Definitely do a review on some other ones you get! I’d love to see what you think then!
i’m planning on picking up skinny jeans for sure and now i need to check out birthday suit! and i want some of the maybelline color tattoos, especially the new duochrome ones
Definitely let me know which one’s you’d end up getting! I’d love to see! :]
betty is so pretty!!
hey sam! that one is turning into my go to shadow this month
What a lovely silver! And cute name too. Shame they have not continued making them, I wonder why? Ebay is always there as you say, but the place is full of fakes so I’m super wary now xx
i dunno, i checked the website and they have a few colors that are similar, but just don’t have these shades anymore. but maybelline has a few shades that are really similar too that are much cheaper
These look great, benefit are my number one brand right now! Love them! xx
i definitely need to try more! i have so many more benefit products on my wish list now
Thanks for the review! These look really nice I think I will have to give these a try!
