A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders today. I finished my final paper of the semester! It seems like all I’ve been doing for the last month and a half is writing. My law review article, which was due on Easter, was almost 50 pages. My Sports Law paper, which I finished Friday, was 25 pages. And the paper that I finished today was much shorter, but the paper is very “word” sensitive, meaning that every single word had to have a purpose. Its hard to explain, but all that matters is that all my papers are finished! Now I get to work on my finals, which start next week. I am not a fan of school at the moment.
But today I have a polish to show you guys from Fresh Paint. Fresh Paint is sold at 5 Below, which for all of you who aren’t from the US, is a dollar store (essentially). Everything there is $5 or less. I have to admit that I’m a bit of a snob sometimes and have never bought these polishes, because I always assumed that a polish from a dollar store wouldn’t be good quality. I’m so happy to say that I was completely wrong.
Fresh Paint “Spruce Street” is a dark forest green creme, and honest has the perfect name because it reminds me of a Spruce pine. This type of color is right up my alley because I love green and I love dark colors. And on top of the awesome color, it dries really really glossy. This is without a top coat and look at the shine on my nails!
The formula on this polish was really incredible. Not only does it dry really glossy, but its really opaque as well. It took 2 coats to be completely opaque. The dry time was fantastic, almost like an Insta-Dri polish. And the consistency was spot on. I can’t comment on the longevity of the wear, because I didn’t keep it on long enough to chip. But I’m really really impressed and now want to try a ton of Fresh Paint polishes.
What do you guys think? Have any of you ever tried any Fresh Paint polishes?
I tried some of my sisters (a beige and a pink one) but after having it on a week and a half I took it off and was left with yellowish nails!! Maybe it’s because I didn’t use a base coat but after that I never used them again
oh that sucks!!! i have staining issues with blue polishes all the time. but wow you got a full week and a half of wear? thats pretty good
Well even if my nails chip I don’t take them off fast, depends when I have time! But I know it did chip even with top coAt but I don’t know how long it took for them to chip was like a year ago! But yea I was surprised too I usually get staining from red polishes so to get from a pale links nd a beige was a surprise! They were pretty colors tho.
yeah that would be really weird to get staining from a light shade. i now know i’ll avoid the blue and red ones from that line!
I’m actually a manager for a 5 Below in my area and I love Fresh Paint polishes! They are actually made by the same company that makes Color Club polishes. If you haven’t been in a while they just got some new spring colors.
wow i never knew that! i’ll definitely have to go check those spring colors out. thanks for letting me know!
I’ve never heard of this brand, but oh my goodness is that color gorgeous or what?! ♥ Congrats on being finished with writing your papers! Woohoo!!!
do you guys have 5 below in tennessee?
Thumbs up for finishing your final paper. You’ll get there!

For real?! That’s nice to know! Gonna look them up for sure 😉 Thanks!
Never heard of this brand! I think the formula looks pretty good
it is pretty good! i was really surprised because i normally think that cheaper polishes mean cheap quality. it wasn’t the case at all with this polish
Okay I need this polish. I dont even care that it may clash with my warm skintone
i think it would look awesome against your skin tone! and even if it doesn’t, its probably super cheap and you can use it to franken with
