For all of you in the United States, Happy Memorial Day Weekend! For me, this weekend has a lot of meanings. It is the unofficial start to the boating season, which is always a big deal as I’ve been itching to get back out on the water. I’m excited to work on my boat some more and to see my summer family.
This weekend also happens to be me and my boyfriends “anniversary.” I put that in quotations because we have no clue when our anniversary is. If we go by when we met, it was a few months ago. If we go by when we started “talking” or “dating” it was about a month and a half ago. If you go by when we made it “official” its this weekend. We normally count our anniversary as the entire Spring season since we can’t agree on a date.
Also, Memorial Day is to celebrate the soldiers who fought and died for out country, as well as the veterans who are still with us. While we also observe Veterans Day, my family has always used this as a time to appreciate those who have served in the armed forces. Both grandfathers, my uncle, and 2 cousins have served, as well as my moms boyfriend who passed away a few years ago. This weekend is a time to celebrate our soldiers.
So in honor of the unofficial start to summer, I’m bringing you a seriously fun and summery polish!
Anny “Sunday in the Park” is a bright yellow creme with a subtle silver shimmer. If you guys have been following my blog or YouTube channel for a while then you know that I love yellow polish. I wear it every season except for winter, and sometimes I’ll even sneak in a mustard yellow during January.
My dear friend Mariska sent me this polish and I can’t thank her enough. She is beautiful inside and out, and knows me too well. And although her blog is written in Dutch, if you want to check out her blog you can do so here!
The formula on this polish was FANTASTIC for a yellow. For all of you nail polish lovers out there, you know that yellow is notorious for being one of the worst colors to apply. Its always thick, streaky, and sheer. Its a nightmare most of the time. This polish, however, is amazing. It is completely opaque in 2 coats and is almost a 1 coater. It went on so smooth and easy and I really only needed to second coat to cover a few bald spots. It was a tad bit on the thicker side for consistency, but nothing that was an issue. Overall, I absolutely love this polish and it is so bright and fun its perfect for summer!
What do you guys think? What are favorite yellow polishes? What are your favorite Anny polishes?
