Welcome to another edition of Throwback Thursday! I haven’t done one of these in such a long time, and I have a folder full of manicures that I need to share with you! For all of you new to my blog, Throwback Thursday is a type of post I do where I feature an “older” polish in my collection. It is inspired by the hashtag #tbt on Instagram where a ton of people post old pictures of themselves.
I tend to blog a lot about newer polishes to my collection or polishes that have recently been released. But I do still love the polishes that I’ve bought in the past. So I try every Thursday, or every Thursday that I remember, to show you guys a polish that may be lost way back in older blog entries. And today I have a polish that I got almost a year ago!
Deborah Lippmann “Lets Go Crazy” is a purple jelly that is packed with her signature rainbow chunky glitter. Originally I thought that she put hot pink and purple glitters in there as well, some of the colors that the original Happy Birthday is missing. But on closer look it is the same blue, green, orange, red, and silver (did I miss one?) glitters. The only difference is that the purple jelly base makes some of the glitters look slightly different.
The formula on this polish was just like other Deborah Lippmanns. It is really packed with glitter so it makes it kind of thick. It almost is hard to apply because there is so much glitter in each coat. But that also means that it is really opaque. It is completely opaque in just 2 coats. And because it is so packed with glitter, almost too packed, it is also pretty fast drying.
I really like this polish but don’t wear it all that often, and I don’t know why. I think my eyes always go straight towards Across the Universe or Mermaids Dream. This deserves more love and maybe I’ll pull it out more often in the Fall, when I start to reach for dark polishes more often.
What do you guys think? Do any of you have this polish? What are your favorite Deborah Lippmanns?
