Happy Thursday everyone! And welcome to another edition of Throwback Thursday! Inspired by the Instagram hashtag, every Thursday I like to showcase an older polish in my collection that hasn’t gotten a lot of love from me in recent months. It reminds me to reuse the polishes that I have in my collection and not just buy a polish and wear it once.
Since we are in the middle of summer, I’m busting out all my yellows! For those of you who have been following me for a while, then you know that two of my favorite colors to wear on my nails in the summer are yellow and white. Actually, yellow is one of my favorite colors to wear all year round! So I busted out one of my bright cheery yellows and loving every cheery second!
Zoya “Creamy” is a primary yellow creme. Believe it or not, this is the “not bright” yellow that Zoya has. Zoya has 2 primary yellows … Creamy and Pippa … and I thought that Pippa would be too much. And I think I was right because this one is a traffic stopper.
The formula on this polish is typical of yellow polishes … aka awful and a nightmare. This polish is thick and streaky. It does level out but it takes 3 coats to get opaque, and by the 3rd coat it is like applying tar to your nails. Oh well, I still love you yellow nail polish! I will put up with all of the slow drying, goopiness (spell check) that you have to offer. In fact, after looking at these pictures, I’m planning on doing another yellow manicure tonight! I just can’t get enough.
What do you guys think? What are your favorite yellow polishes?
I love yellow polishes. The one they just released looks like this.
yeah! jen, the polishaholic, just did a comparison between this polish and the new one and they look practically identical
The Barry M Lemon Icecream one is lovely as is the Barry M Yellow! You can check them out on my blog if you like xxx
i love barry m! i wish i had better access to those polishes
I’ve heard a lot about this polish, but I think these are the first swatches I’ve seen! It sucks that yellows usually have bad formulas!
yeah yellows aren’t the easiest to work with, but they’re so much fun and gorgeous! so i put up with it
Yellow, summer, i love it?!
