As you guys may be able to tell from the recent posts but I’m loving all of my bright polishes. This is the first summer that I’ve really gone absolutely crazy with bright colors and neons. I was trying to figure out what flipped the switch in my mind, and everything seemed to come back to this polish.
I picked this polish up in my recent Zoya Earth Day order (check out the blog post here!). In all honesty, I only bought this because of the sale and because it’s a cult classic of Zoya’s. Sometimes there is a reason why so many people rave about a polish and I figured it was finally time to figure out what all the Charisma-hype was about.
Zoya “Charisma” is a bright, almost neon, magenta crème. This was named one of Allure Magazine’s best polishes of 2011 (I think that’s the right year). And whenever I ask people what Zoya polishes they love, this one is almost always included in that list. The color is a shifter though! Indoors, it’s a beautiful deep rich magenta color that reminds me a lot of all those perfect fall berry colors. But outdoors this polish is almost at neon status! It is so bright that I find myself catching it out of the corner of my eye whenever I walk past a window or mirror.
The formula on this polish is ok. It is completely opaque in 2-3 coats, depending on how thick or thin you apply your coats. It dries to a matte finish and dries pretty quickly. The consistency is a little bit on the thinner side, but that doesn’t really bother me. I now know where all my neon polish cravings are coming from because this polish had to start it all!
What do you guys think? Do any of you have this polish? What are your favorite Zoyas?
