Illamasqua “Speckle”

IMG_6505Happy Wednesday everyone!  I am back at my moms house at the moment, dog sitting.  She went out of town for a week so now I get the pleasure of having an entire house to myself.  In an effort to get ready to spend a week away from my bed, boyfriend, apartment, and computer, I had to upload a bunch of pictures prior to leaving to make sure that I had blog posts for you guys for the next week.

So I was going through all the pictures of manicures on my computer, which is a ton.  I have enough pictures and reviews of polishes for a good 2 months of blog posts! When going through all the pictures of my nails, I stumbled upon these pictures.  I can’t believe I never showed you guys this nail polish! Because I was positively obsessed over the spring.

IMG_6509Illamasqua “Speckle” is a light purple creme with matte black chunky and micro glitter in it.  It is seriously gorgeous! I wasn’t very interested in this trend but when I put this polish on, it was like magic.  Although these light purples don’t always look great on my skin tone, this is one of the few shades that I felt was actually flattering!

IMG_6506The formula on this polish is spot on, considering that it is full of glitter.  I only used 2 coats for the pictures, which to the naked eye looked really good but I can now see some bald spots in the pictures.  So 2 thicker coats or 3 thin coats would be perfect for this polish.  The dry time is really good and the glitters disperse evenly on the nail.  I absolutely love it and can’t believe I waited this long to blog about it!

What do you guys think? Are you over this whole speckled trend?
