Shimmer Polish “Elsa”

IMG_7306Things are finally starting to feel like I’m  back to normal.  After a few whirlwind weeks, I’m finally starting to get back into my routine.  After finishing up the summer portion of my internship, spending time with friends and family for birthdays and engagement celebrations, studying and taking the MPRE’s and rearranging my entire apartment, I’m finally back to my normal routine.  For all of you who follow my YouTube channels (yep, I have 2!), I was able to film a few videos today!  1 is uploading onto my Vlog Channel as I type this and another is saving and will be uploaded in a few hours.

IMG_7282 Shimmer Polish “Elsa” is a turquoise, red and gold glitter suspended in a clear base.  When I first saw the color combination, I immediately thought Superman! The combination of red, gold and close to blue made me think of the Superhero outfit! So my first instinct was to layer it over a blue.

IMG_7309 The picture above is over China Glaze “Ride the Waves,” but I wasn’t a fan of how it turned out.  I wanted a combination that really showcased the glitter! So instead I layered it over a holographic gradient with Color Clubs “Harp on it,” “Kismet” “Angel Kiss,” “Over the Moon” and “Eternal Beauty.”

IMG_7308The formula on this polish was fantastic.  This is just 1 coat of glitter in all 4 pictures above.  It’s pretty dense but isn’t really thick or hard to apply.  You don’t have to do any type of special application method to get a ton of glitter on your nails.  And because its packed with glitter, the dry time was pretty amazing too!  This is a great polish and I’m already contemplating a huge Shimmer Polish order!

What do you guys think? Do you have any shimmer polishes? What is your favorite indie brand?

You can get Shimmer Polishes on her website or her etsy site!

  1. Today I have Part 2 of my Shimmer polish swatchathon. As you saw yesterday, Shimmer glitter combinations are very complex. Everytime I downloaded a photo from my camera, I found something unexpected. These polishes are seriously beautiful! I can’t wait to show you seven more.
