OPI “Alcatraz Rocks”

IMG_7429Happy Monday! Sorry that I’ve been absent from the blogosphere for the entire weekend.  Sometimes its nice to just take a little break and enjoy some of my “free time.”  I spent that so-called free time filming videos for the entire week on both of my channels (beauty and vlog), and editing all of my videos and pictures.  Then Sunday I spent some quality time with some of my favorite boys!  My dad, uncle, step-brother, fiance and I had a football marathon.   How was your weekend??

Today I have a really popular polish to show you guys! As always, I’m about a month and a half late on every single trend.  This blew up in August when the San Fransisco collection first came.  And naturally, I wasn’t interested until I could see it in person.  And because it was so popular, I couldn’t get my hands on it until a few weeks ago! Isn’t that how it always works?

IMG_7430OPI “Alcatraz Rocks” is a denim blue with a little bit of a purple tone liquid sand.  What makes this liquid sand more interesting than others is the fact that this polish has so many different colored glitters inside! My pictures can never do subtle polishes justice so you’ll have to trust me when I say it sparkles with blue, pink and gold glitters!  It looks like a piece of granite out in the sunlight, shimmering with a ton of colors!

The formula on this polish was pretty good.  It only took 2 coats to be opaque and it dried rather quickly. It wasn’t too thick or hard to apply.   It was a really nice polish to apply! However, it chipped on me before the end of the day.  I don’t think I had this polish on for a full 12 hours before I had a big chip taken out of my middle finger.  I also had some tip wear after just a few hours.  Overall, great polish but I wish it lasted on me longer.

What do you guys think? Were any of you able to get your hands on this polish?
