I can’t believe that it is only 2 days until Halloween! I absolutely love Halloween, as most of you can tell from the manicures recently, and I’m kind of sad that we are entering November this week. But I will admit that I’m starting to get in to the holiday spirit! It doesn’t help that Christmas commercials are already being played and all of the holiday displays were out when I stopped by Ulta today.
Today I have another Halloween polish from my arsenal, and one that really screams Halloween!
Orly “R.I.P.” is a sheer black jelly base that is packed with orange hex chunky glitters and orange microglitter. I don’t think Orly could have come up with a more Halloween-y polish! I was obsessed with finding this polish last year and honestly surprised that I don’t wear it more often. It really is perfect and I may have to keep this on until Thursday!
The formula on this polish is really nice! This is just 2 coats and its completely opaque. But beware of small bald sports, like the one on my middle finger. It dries really quickly but I ran into the classic seche vite “shrinkage” problem with this manicure. And another negative is that this polish dries to a semi-matte finish. This is 2 coats of top coat to give it a glossier look, and it still doesn’t look as glossy as other jellies.
What do you guys think? Are you all looking forward to the holidays?
