OPI “My Vampire Is Buff”

IMG_8370As we speak, I am uploading my Top 10 Nail Polishes for Winter video on my YouTube channel! So I had to think long and hard about what polishes I love to wear in the Winter. I have realized that I am very monochromatic in the Winter and gravitate towards black, grey, white and nudes.  So I had to finally get my hands on one of 2013’s most raved about nudes! I passed on this originally, thinking it was nothing special, but after wearing it I understand the hype!

IMG_8372OPI “My Vampire is Buff” is an opaque cream color.  Its so light and crisp in some lights, and then soft and feminine in other lights.  It doesn’t look like much in pictures, but when you have it on your nails it looks so gorgeous! It is the exact type of polish that I crave during the cold days because its light but understated.

IMG_8371The formula on this polish was great.  It’s a little on the thin side, but pretty pigmented.  That combination leads to a fast dry time and an extremely glossy finish.  This polish is a little streaky on the first coat but then evened out on the second coat.  This is 2 coats in the pictures, but if you like to do thinner coats to prevent chipping then it would take 3 thin coats.

This is another polish from Beyond Polish.   They carry all the big name brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie, CND and more for an EXTREMELY reasonably price.  They even have the new Gwen Stefani collection for cheaper than what you would find in store! And the shipping is so incredibly fast! I got this 2 days after I ordered it.

What do you guys think? What are your favorite shades to wear in the Winter?

  1. I def crave monochrome in the winter and then randomly through in an occasional bright just to mix it up! I love this color but it looks a little yellow toned, is it yellow toned in real life. My skin I def yellow-ish so I struggle with any polish that has a yellow undertone no matter how much I love it

    • it is more beige toned in real life. i think you could definitely pull this off, but check it out in stores first. i think they made it permanent. if you like pink tones, orly kiss the bride is a new favorite of mine!
