Happy Monday everyone! I hope that everyone is staying safe and warm for all of you who are in the north and about to experience another burst of arctic air. The last time that we experienced polar temperatures was a few weeks ago and I was very very fortunate to miss all of it. I was in Mexico while the rest of my friends and family were dealing with – 45 degree Fahrenheit wind chills. For all of you who deal with temperatures in Celsius, that is – 43 degrees Celsius. Yeah, its bitterly cold! So I hope everyone stays warm right now, as tomorrow we are looking at a forecast with similar temperatures.
So in honor of all these cold days, I am living in flesh tones and dark shades. And I finally got one of the classic OPI nude shades to play with this winter!
OPI “Tickle My France-y” is a rose toned nude polish. This reminds me a lot of one of the new Zoya Naturale colors (which I ordered in the sale how many weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything about). It is such a gorgeous shade! In some lights it looks like a nude that is just slightly off on my skin tone, with a hint of a rose tone. And in other lights it looks like a light purple-y beige, like the pictures show!
The formula on this polish was absolutely amazing. It was a thinner formula, like most OPI cremes that I’ve tried, so it can be a tad watery. But it was opaque! So I don’t mind that it was a thinner formula because it was opaque in just 2 coats. And because it was thinner, it dried really quickly. I absolutely love this polish and I am itching to put it right back on!
This is another polish from Beyond Polish. They carry all the big name brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie, CND and more for an EXTREMELY reasonably price. They even have the new Gwen Stefani collection for cheaper than what you would find in store! And the shipping is so incredibly fast! I got this 2 days after I ordered it.
What do you guys think? What are your favorite shades to wear in super cold weather?
I got my Zoyas a week or so ago, but I ordered fairly early on in the sale, so they may still be working through the backlog!
I got a mini of this polish in that “Take Ten” set at Christmas but I haven’t tried it yet. I need to figure out what I did with those – this looks beautiful!
i am still waiting for a shipping confirmation. it sucks because by the time i get them i’ll be wanting to wear spring shades! you should definitely try this polish out tho, its really great
Looks lovely! How long did the polish last before chipping?? 🙂
i dunno actually, i change my nail polish every day lol i wish i left my polishes on longer but i get so sick of a color after a day of wearing it
