Happy Wednesday! I was one of the really lucky ones that got the day off school after mother nature released another huge white dump on us last night and all day today. But, unfortunately, adults don’t get snow days like kids so I still had to go to work. Because I was feeling bright and cheery for my day off studying, I decided to keep that streak going with a bright and cheery blue!
Essie “Mezmerised” is a bright cobalt blue creme. It isn’t as bright as Sally Hansen “Pacific Blue,” and is a few shades darker, but this is one of the brightest blues I have in my collection. I was trying to figure out which collection this came from, and why the polish is spelled so weird (mesmerized vs. mezmerised), so I tried to do some research online. It seems as if this was a re-release after Essie was purchased by L’Oreal (correct me if I’m wrong). From which collection it came from, I don’t know … but I honestly don’t care because its a kick ass color!
The formula on this polish is definitely leading my heart when it comes to this review. This is just 1 coat! Albeit 1 thick coat, but still just 1 coat! I was so shocked that an Essie polish could have such an awesome formula, because most Essies I’ve tried are 3 coaters. I’m eating my words because this was 1 coat, perfect consistency and a good dry time. And just look at that shine! I’m in love.
This is another polish from Beyond Polish. Beyond Polish is a new nail E-tailor that carries all the big name brands like OPI, China Glaze, Essie, Zoya, Jessica, CND, as well as a ton of gel nail polishes. They released the OPI Brazil collection today so run over and get you some!
What do you guys think? What other Essie shades should I try out?
