How is it possible that I haven’t blogged about this polish until now? I picked this up back in November or December (whenever people were raving about it) along with “On a Silver Platter.” I wasn’t the biggest fan of “On a Silver Platter” because it looked kind of wonky on my nails, but I still have it in hopes of finding a cool color to pair with it. This polish on the other hand, I love! I’ve included it in my favorites videos on YouTube, worn it for many manicures as an accent nail, and actually busted it out the other day. So when I saw the pictures on my computer in my “need to edit” file, I about died!
Essie “Hor D’oeurvres” is a dense silver microglitter with chunky silver hex glitters and gold shimmer. The result is this shift changing polish that changes from gold to silver, making it the ultimate metal glitter. Ya know how some people don’t like to mix metals and have to wear gold with certain things and silver with others? Well, the combination of silver and gold in this polish makes it look different in every light and means it can go with everything!
The formula of this polish is amazing, but a little dense. With a dense glitter, you have to expect that the formula is going to be on the thicker side, so I wasn’t too bummed out about that. It was completely opaque on the nail in just 2 coats and dried really really quickly. No complaints with the formula whatsoever! I absolutely love this polish and felling like slapping my hand because I haven’t blogged out it!
What do you guys think? What are your favorite glitters right now?
