Press Sample Ready for part 2 of my Super Chic Lacquer swatchfest and review?!? I just reviewed the Super Chic Lacquer Day Tripper collection, which you can view here, and now I’ve moved on to the Hero Collection, which is exclusive to Gloss48.com. So if you like these gray shimmers, there’s only one place to get them!
The Hero Collection is a duo of grey polishes that is for those strong-of-heart women. All women need to be reminded sometimes that we are unstoppable and can do anything that we set our minds to. We’re stronger than we know and I love that this duo is a little reminder! I can think of a few girls I would love to buy this duo for, just to celebrate their courage and tenacity. The duo consists of two grey polishes with opposing shimmer.
Just an FYI, the bottles that I am showing you guys are blogger bottles. The normal bottles that Jennifer uses are really unique and one of the coolest parts about Super Chic Lacquer. She let me know that she was running low on her signature bottles, so just know if you buy these then you’ll get the normal bottles.
Super Chic Lacquer describes Bulletproof Betty as “the unstoppable woman; she perseveres toward her dreams.”
2 coats
Bulletproof Betty is a medium toned grey with strong blue shimmer. Sometimes I can see a flash of a green shimmer int here as well. It’s a rather “masculine” polish with the blue and grey, but it strong and bad-ass at the same time. The formula was good on this and was completely opaque in 2 coats.
Next … Gauntlet Girl
Super Chic Lacquer describes Gauntlet Girl as “the warrior girl;wards off all distractions and obstacles in her pursuit of happiness.”
2 coats
Gauntlet Girl is a medium toned grey with a strong pink shimmer. This is the perfect sister polish to Bulletproof Betty. This is the more “feminine” of the pair with a delicate pink shimmer running throughout it. And what I love most is that the shimmer is very visible on the nail. And I think I actually like this one a little bit better! This is just 2 coats.
Overall, I love these two polishes and I love how well they go together. But I am partial to Gauntlet Girl because I love the cool grey with the pink shimmer! I love those edgy polishes with a feminine twist.
These two polishes are exclusively sold on Gloss48. So if you want to get your hands on either one of these, head on over there!
What do you guys think? Which one is your favorite?
