Happy Thursday! I wish you all could see what I’m seeing right now. At the moment, I am sitting in the center of my bed, with the NFL draft on my TV, my phone open to my wish list on etsy on my right, and a new book open to my left. Shopping, football, blogging and reading … yeah, that sums me up pretty accurately!
Today I am showing you another polish from the City Flourish collection. I know that this collection came out months ago but because they’re so bright and cheery, I know I’ll be wearing these shades into the summer. And please excuse the dry cuticles! I really need to update my blogging camera because I swear these photos always look good when I take them and then awful once I edit them.
China Glaze “Metro Pollen-tin” is a bright yellow-orange creme. This is the perfect mix between yellow and orange. It does dry a little darker on the nail than it looks in the bottle, and it almost gives it a radioactive artificial cheese type of look. Very interesting and very unique!
The formula on this polish is exactly the same as the rest of the City Flourish colors … i.e. crap! It is really chalky and streaky. This polish dries very quickly and dries to a matte finish, so you can’t manipulate the polish any more than the traditional 3 stroke application method. If you do too many strokes, you’re going to get major bald spots. This one needed 3 coats to be fully opaque. Once you master how to apply these, they aren’t that bad, but all the City Flourish colors have a learning curve. On the bright side, they dry really fast!
What do you guys think? What are your favorite almost-summer colors?
I’m watching it too! Dying to see where Manziel ends up!
I agree, formula is challenging. But the outcome is worth it!
where do you want manzel to go?? i’m thinking my brownies are gonna take him! and thanks so much for commenting. i now think that i might have to save this polish for browns football games lol
I just got this and I love it! I need to do a blogpost on all of my City Flourish Collection! I have nothing like this in my collection but I am glad to have it! 🙂
I love this collection, but the formula…
Once you figure out how to apply them, they’re ok, but I wish the could give me this color, with a better formula.
The things we put up with for a great color on our nails…
😀
I like this colour! It looks like a sunflower 🙂
that is definitely Catfish packaging! I prefer the actual colour to the bottle though! Mx
